GoodLife Fitness Set To Launch Urban Adventures Across Canada

Think Hard. Play Hard. Laugh Hard - The Chase is On!

TORONTO, Jan. 21, 2015 - The event that pioneered urban adventure racing in Canada will once again return to the national stage in 2015 with GoodLife Fitness as its new title sponsor.

"City Chase was created 12 years ago as a strategic marketing vehicle," says Nick Jelinek, founder and CEO of Influence Marketing, creators of City Chase. "With our new title sponsor, GoodLife Fitness, and supporting sponsors such as Running Room, Deep Relief and Cellucor already on board, City Chase continues to serve this purpose, while maintaining focus on a best-in-class experience for our participants."

The GoodLife Fitness City Chase will require participants (also known as "Chasers"), to use mental acuity and physical ability, as well as resourcefulness and determination, to find and complete ChasePoint challenges scattered throughout the city. Past ChasePoints have included rappelling down buildings, firefighting challenges, handling exotic creatures such as tarantulas and lizards, preparing meals in a soup kitchen, stand up paddle boarding, and playing underwater hockey. Once teams of two complete 10 ChasePoints and navigate their way to the finish line, they have completed The Chase.

"The GoodLife Fitness City Chase is an event that brings people of all fitness levels together to enjoy a day of activity and laughter, while fostering new friendships, and creating great memories," says David 'Patch' Patchell-Evans, GoodLife Fitness Founder & CEO. "It is an unforgettable experience and a wonderful platform that brings our brand and commitment to activity to life, and we are excited to lead the next generation of adventures starting in 2015."

GoodLife Fitness has been a sponsor of the series since 2007, and has become known for its high-energy pre-Chase warm-up, as well its 'Mind & Body Bootcamp' ChasePoint challenge. One Chaser must complete a series of physically demanding tasks while their teammate must solve an intellectual challenge.

"I tell my friends to get ready to experience the unexpected," says long-time Chaser, past Canadian City Chase Champion and GoodLife Fitness member Anthony Woods. "City Chase is one of the most unique events imaginable, a great and rewarding challenge, and is always a highlight of my summer."

The GoodLife Fitness City Chase series will be featured in five cities across Canada in 2015, with plans to expand further starting in 2016.

The 2015 schedule includes:

- Calgary, AB / June 6th
- Vancouver, BC / June 27th
- Ottawa, ON / July 18th
- Edmonton, AB August 15th Toronto, ON / August 22nd

The winning team in each market will advance to the National Championships and compete for the title of the 2015 GoodLife Fitness City Chase Canadian Champion. The Nationals will be held in September in a location that will be announced at the start of the series.
