Stance Socks Turns Up The Volume by Partnering with Singer and Fashion Influencer, Santigold

San Clemente, CA – February 19, 2014- Premium sock brand and innovators in the category, Stance, continue to evolve the brand by announcing their most recent collaboration with renowned singer, songwriter, producer and fashion ingénue, Santigold.

The Santigold Collection, launching Spring 2014, reflects Santigold’s love for music, art, travel and her greatest passion, humanity. Incorporating her signature designs and unique style, the collection is a fresh look and a fun way to accessorize any ensemble with every step. This is the first set of her collection with Stance, with additional styles launching Holiday 2014.

Carefully curating this three piece collection of one-of-a-kind socks—Santigold spent the last year creating designs stimulated by music, travel and more.

The new collection includes three unique socks titled Brooklyn Go Hard, Gold Links and Kilimanjaro. Santi drew inspiration from Brooklyn, as well as from the song (of the same name) she recorded with JAY Z which celebrates the borough, for the Brooklyn Go Hard sock which features exclusive sketches by artist Thom Lessner.

She also found inspiration from her trip to Tanzania where she climbed Kilimanjaro as part of a documentary to raise awareness for the global clean water crisis. Her visit to a Masai village during this trip influenced the mix and match pattern found on her Kilimanjaro sock.

“I was excited to collaborate with Stance, and to make socks a new canvas for some of my creative ideas,” said Santi.

In support of her passion to aid the global clean water crisis, Santigold and Stance have joined forces to donate 20% of the sales proceeds from “Kilimanjaro” to charity: water, a non-profit bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. In addition to this collaboration, Santigold is now part of the Stance advocate program, “Punks & Poets” where she will be adding her own flavor to the eclectic roster. Prices at retail will range from $14-$20.

The collection will debut in February 2014 and can be found on Stance.com as well as Nordstrom, Opening Ceremony, Colette, Unknwn Miami, Wish, Brooklyn Museum and other fine retailers nationwide.
