Blue Competition Cycles Secures New Owners and stay alive

Minds Group LLC buys assets of Blue Competition Cycles.

Wilmington, DE (January 25) – It was formally announced today that Blue Competition Cycles, has been sold to Minds Group LLC. Industry-veteran and acting CEO, Steven Harad, has been retained in the leadership role.

“All sights are set on moving forward,” said Harad. “We’re thrilled to have stable backing, and are primed to bring the Blue Bicycles brand back to prominence as an industry leader in aero bikes.”

According to Harad, 2014 models will begin shipping in January, including the Triad SL triathlon bike, Outside Magazine’s “2012 Bike of the Year” the AC1 road bike, as well as the Norcross cyclocross bike. Year 2015 models are already in the works and are expected to debut at this year’s Interbike.

The acquisition also includes Aerus Components and Aerus Bags. Domestic and international sales operations will be moved to Wilmington DE with east and west coast warehousing/distribution being established soon. Also returning to resume his role with Blue is Sales Manager, Daniel Stallings.
