Business people : Granite Gear Expands Team with Two New Hires

Two Harbors, MN, Nov 22, 2013 -
Granite Gear, manufacturers of superior backpacks engineered to deliver the ultimate in function and comfort, has hired Benjamin Landry as Associate Product Designer and Julie Hukriede as Customer Service Manager.

After completing a BFA in Industrial Design from the University of Wisconsin-Stout as well as multiple inventive freelancing projects, Ben Landry joins the team at Granite Gear. Landry will assist in the design and development of new and existing product categories. His youth, talent, and strengths in creative design development and identifying future trends will strengthen Granite Gear’s design team and continue the company’s evolution within the outdoor market and beyond.

Julie Hukriede comes to Granite Gear with 20+ years of experience as a research and development buyer and customer relations specialist in a production and manufacturing environment. Hukriede’s extensive background will provide the Granite Gear customer service department with the expertise in building and maintaining invaluable relationships with Granite Gear’s customers.

Landry will be working at the Chicago, IL location, while Hukriede will be working at the original Two Harbors, MN location. Both Landry and Hukriede have a passion for the outdoors and are thrilled to be employed by a company that shares their values.
