Business news :Oliberte Expands U.S. Rep Force

Oliberte Limited, which makes its line of premium casual outdoor shoes in Africa using locally sourced materials, has expanded its U.S. sales force.

Nick Robinson, U.S. wholesale manager for Oliberté announces the addition of five new independent sales representatives to help expand distribution into new markets.  The new additions to the sales team include: 
  • Jimmy Ho (Northern CA, NV), 
  • Jeff Boon and Patty Lenz, Cascade Associates (OR, WA, AK, ID), 
  • Alan Lasday (IL, OH, MI, WI, IN, MN)
  • Ben Phillips (Southeast)
“I am excited to be working with a team of veteran footwear specialists who are passionate about the Oliberté brand,”  said Robinson.  “This is an exciting time to be a part of a company that is seeing continued growth and heightened customer interest in what we are doing.”
The Oliberté U.S. sales force also includes John Campbell (CO, UT, WY, NM,TX), Marc Sandford (NJ, PA, MD, DE, DC, Northern VA), Lewis Ports of Super Hero’s Agency (NY) and Dan Mitchell (NH, MA, ME, VT, RI, CT).

Oliberté was founded in 2009, by Tal Dehtiar with the concept of creating sustainable jobs in Africa building rugged casual footwear and goods.  Oliberté opened its own ethically responsible factory in August 2012 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  The footwear is handmade using natural rubber outsoles, hand-picked natural leather and is made using an average of 1,000 stitches.   Materials are currently sourced from Liberia, Kenya, Mauritius, South Africa and Ethiopia, and hand crafted by skilled artisans who are treated fairly.  Oliberté is headquartered in Oakville, Canada with warehousing in Mississauga, ON, Buffalo, NY, and Rye, UK.
