According to data presented Thursday, 6 December by the President of the Federation of Nautical Industries, Jean-François Fountaine, the provisional turnover of 2011-2012 nautical year the French industry production is down 18%, to 739 9 million euros. Segment sailboats, including living is the one who suffers the most, with a decline of 24%, lowering motor units by 10%.

More significantly, the number of units produced fell sharply, from about 20% (ie a total of 43 700 units), further entrenching the French production in the top tier high added value.

The export rate is still going strong at 68% (67% in 2010-2011), but the new boat registrations fell by 9.6% (-10.6% to -12.4% and sailboats for engines), a worrying trend for the future of the domestic market. That the opportunity is very stable, with 64 308 mutations, 220 more boats have changed hands.
