Park City, UT (October 9, 2012) -- Rossignol Group North America has promoted a new VP of Sales for the Rossignol brand USA and increased its commitment to building and delivering stronger more effective product to the North American market by creating a new North American product development team.
On the sales front, Kurt Hoefler, has been promoted to VP of Sales for Rossignol in the US. Hoefler had been the Alpine Division Manager for Rossignol for the last 7 years, and before that served as Rossignol Nordic Division Manager for 8 years, going back to 1997.

“As with our entire team, Kurt brings a great deal of experience and proven effectiveness to the company and to this position,” said Ron Steele, Rossignol Group NA President. “His expertise in bringing products and programs to market that are easy-to-buy and easy-to-sell will be a great fit for all the divisions. He’s an avid Alpine and Nordic skier and will do a great job in his new position.”

Along with Hoefler’s promotion, the Rossignol Group has created a new Product Team headed by the promotion of Thor Verdonk as Director of Alpine Product Development for North America to ensure the highest quality and most relevant product in the North American market. Verdonk had previously been Technical Product Manager for the Group. Matt Rihm, formerly the North American Team Manager, has been promoted to Rossignol Alpine Product Manager and will report to Verdonk. Michael Strachan, Dynastar/Lange Product Manager, will also report to Verdonk.

“With Thor and Mike, we’ve enjoyed a very close working relationship with our factory counterparts,” Steele continued. “By promoting Matt and giving these guys even more voice at the factory level, we’re really excited about the product development plans we have for all the brands in the years to come. This new team will be working closely with both Hoefler and Dennis Gaspari, VP of Sales for Dynastar/Lange.”

“At the Rossignol Group in North America, we’re blessed to have a strong team of individuals across the board. Our finance, dealer support, communications and sports marketing are all run by very experienced, effective individuals, in both the US and Canada,” Steele explained further. “These latest moves are just an evolution, ensuring that the two aspects of our business most important to our customers, effective product and strong sales, are as supported as possible.”
